Southern history is a collection of historical stories. The "Cù Lao Phố " was transforming into a bustling eighteenth-century market. However, a sequence of modern-century developments has obliterated such historical ideals (leaving only the slightest remains of facilities and architecture).

The collection informs the museum of pieces of historical stories. In this case, it is a synthesis of exhibits, particularly the 100-year-old bridge and the public display space.

The Historical Museum of the reclamation Southern design project shows this combination through the design of a building as a collection of individual wall panels through the grid. A continuous coil comprises different wall segments in a repeating matrix. Walls float overhead in a row, creating light communication within the park and allowing visibility throughout. The project becomes a cultural landmark that forms the foundation for future preservation activities.

The location is easily in contact with ancient sites in Cù Lao Phố. The original site is truly scenic sightseeing.

The proposal for the Museum suggests using the 100 years old bridge as a primary artifact and galleries located to the south of the site to create a link between the insides and outsides. This approach established a buffer zone between the museum and the national railway, reducing the detrimental impact of the noise while maintaining the original concept.

Public services are added around the building serving the needs of visitors and recreating part of the landscape of the life of the old South Vietnamese people through submerged forests and exceptional food.

Module

The intent was to abolish the 90-degree angle and introduce a variety of spatial experiences without imitating nature. At the same time, we can get light for displaying items in the museum.

The project develops a system of spatial variations from the effects of the different wall module types.
